PRINCETON – The Bureau, Putnam, and Marshall County Health Departments reported that a male in his 60’s is the latest COVID-19 related death in Bureau County on Tuesday. Hector Gomez, Health Department Administration encouraged residents to stay diligent in taking precautions, stating “it is not possible to over-emphasize the importance of physical distancing and other simple precautions for persons of all ages.” There have now been 38 positive cases in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam, and Marshall County Health Departments, with 29 coming from Bureau County, 8 from Marshall County, and 1 from Putnam County. Only two individuals have died in the counties from complications related to coronavirus thus far.
