GRUNDY Co. – A Verona woman’s body was discovered after an early morning house fire, Tuesday. According to Grundy County Coroner John Callahan, as fire crews were extinguishing a fire at 3200 south Verona Road, they discovered a body in the home. Coroner Callahan identified the deceased as 39-year-old Elizabeth A. Link. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The death remains under investigation by the Grundy County Coroners Office, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office. Several area fire departments assisted at the scene.
