JOLIET – Congresswoman Lauren Underwood is encouraging students in the 14th District of Illinois to read this summer. The Congressional Readers Program challenges students in grades K-5 to read at least 10 books between now and July 14th. All participants will be invited to a special celebration with the Congresswoman in August. The student in each grade who reads the most books will receive a special recognition.
