PERU, IL — The Peru Girls softball league is dedicating this season to the memory of local girl Guiliana Koehler who passed away last fall due to a DIPG tumor on her brain stem. She was a vibrant young lady who loved life to it’s fullest. She was a fierce pitcher in the league for years and loved her softball family. Her mother, Gina Koehler and grandpa Steve Gabrielse were her coaches last season. The league is honoring her memory with a GK inside of a home plate logo on their jersey’s this season.
