OTTAWA – It was one year ago that the pandemic first arrived in LaSalle County. A teen was the first reported case, according to the LaSalle County Health Department. Since then, over 10,000 residents have tested positive with 258 deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus. Vaccine distribution is underway in the county, and the Health Department wants everyone to know that those individuals 65 years and older who registered in January, February or March on the sign up list to check their email spam folders to get confirmation and to schedule an appointment.
