PERU – A Peru man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly calling State Senator Sue Rezin’s office and threatened to commit a mass shooting at “a school.” Peru Police say 33 year-old Steven A. Tutko, of Peru, was charged with Class 4 Felony of Threat to a school building or person after he allegedly called Rezin’s Peru office Monday afternoon and left a voice mail that threatened to commit a mass shooting at an unidentified school. Police say they identified a suspect by Tuesday morning and at 12:45pm, members of the Peru Police Department emergency response team (PERT) took Tutko into custody.
