MARSEILLES – A Marseilles woman has died after a house fire early Sunday morning. The Marseilles Fire Department were called to a fully involved house fire in the 400 block of North Street around 3 AM Sunday. Area departments arrived to assist in fighting the fire, including Grand Ridge, Ottawa, Seneca and Wallace. According to the authorities 69-year-old Elaine Berkland was found deceased in the structure. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
