Streator Bank Robbery
Streator Police are on the lookout for the person who robbed a bank yesterday morning. Authorities say they received a call at 9 AM Saturday from Streator Community Credit Union on North Park Street for a robbery that just took place. No weapon was displayed or mentioned during the robbery, and the man took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Authorities say they are on the lookout for the man who was last seen wearing a camoflauge coat and had blue eyes. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Streator Police Department.

Marshall County Grain Bin Accident
A Marshall County man died after he fell into a grain bin on Friday afternoon. Marshall County Sheriff's officials say they received the call just after 2:30 PM Friday after 71-year old William Vogel of LaRose fell into the bin. Authorities say several fire departments spent nearly an hour cutting holes in the bin so they could reach the man. Vogel was pronounced dead at the scene.

Illegal Immigrant Driver Licenses
More than 85,000 immigrants living in the U.S. illegally now have Illinois driver's licenses under a new state program. The Springfield bureau of Lee Enterprises reports the tally comes after the first full year that the program has been in place in Illinois. The $30 licenses are valid for three years and may be used only for driving.

Powdered Alcohol Bans
A proposed law in Illinois would ban the sale of powdered alcohol before it hits store shelves. The Springfield bureau of Lee Enterprises Newspapers reports the proposal amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. State Senator Ira Silverstein of Chicago is sponsoring the bill. He says it's a "public safety bill" and doesn't want the product to reach stores.

Food Stamp Usage Up in Illinois
State figures show the number of Illinois households on food stamps continues to rise. The Illinois Department of Human Service says there were just over 1 million households enrolled last month in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. That's up 20,000 from the previous month and is the highest level since at least 2010.
