Former Pontiac man faces child pornography charges

LIVINGSTON CO. – A former Pontiac man is charged with child pornography offenses. According to the Illinois State Police, on Monday 27-year-old Jay R. Pitchford previously of Pontiac was arrested on a felony warrant for offenses of Child Pornography in Surprise, Arizona. Pitchford was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service with assistance from the Surprise Police Department. Pitchford is in custody in the Maricopa County jail in Phoenix, Arizona pending the posting of bond set at $250,000 or his extradition to Livingston County. The arrest comes as a result of an investigation conducted by the Illinois State Police, the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Livingston County State’s Attorney’s Office.
